This two day (Saturday & Sunday), sixteen hour course meets the requirements for Illinois Concealed Carry. Additionally, it meets the requirements for both Florida and Arizona non-resident concealed carry permits.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When you register you must use the name exactly as it is on your FOID card or as you listed when you applied for your FOID card. If you do not have a FOID card yet then list your name the way it is on your Illinois Driver's License. You can put your first name & middle name or initial in the first name box. Failure to do this will result in your not getting a training completed certificate at the end of class. It will have to be made after class and mailed to you.

Illinois Concealed Carry I is an in-depth study of how to avoid lethal confrontations, how to prevail, how to avoid criminal prosecution and civil suit. The course includes a comprehensive review of the Concealed Carry Act (Illinois law), firearm operation and safety, cleaning, selection of an appropriate firearm, ammunition and holster for both concealed carry and home protection. The course covers one grip that works with all handgun and the way to draw a firearm from a holster to engage someone at close quarters with emphasis on firearm retention. Students will use SIRT classroom training pistols for practical firearm handling experience. Also included is the use of a firearm and ammunition for the live fire qualification course and the training certificate needed to apply for an Illinois Concealed Carry license. Students must be present for the entire 16 hours and meet all course criteria to receive a certificate.

WHAT TO BRING

A valid driver’s license or state issued photo identification card, hearing & eye protection, and a pen to take notes. Please arrive 30 minutes early for registration. Bring your own lunch to eat during a working lunch both days. The shooting portion of the course is held indoors.
